This is my problem also - I did post a message but had no response.

The only difference between my systems are that XP Home and 2003 is in use
at home (and working beautifully - speaking day of week, time slots,
appointments, etc. At work I have XP Pro with 2000 running and all it says
is 'day'.

Previously we were on an NT system and I never had a problem, except when it
came to deleting appointments, but now it would be nice to have that
opportunity. The only way I can get appointments in is to use the 'Go to
date' feature, put the appointment in and then I am able to shift/tab (or
tab) I can't remember at this time of night, and it shows, but if I cursor
up and down and side to side, JAWS is as blind as me (smile, smile).

Any thoughts please.
Regards

Val.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Outlook calendar not speaking day.

Evening,

Can anyone advise me on how to get Jaws to announce which day of the
week it is, as well as the date in Outlook's calendar?

Curiously this happens on my work machine, but I can't get it to
happen here at home.

The only difference that I can work out between the two machines is
that I have XP home here and XP Pro at work, and of course the corresponding
versions of Jaws.

Otherwise, it's Outlook 2003, with calendar in day view mode, Jaws
v7.0, with verbosity set to advanced.

        Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks,
Tink.
