Hi Brian have not forgotten my query , as mentioned you already had Open Book, I not of course, so you finished up with both versions Open Book and later K1000 thus you are in a good position to give an opinion on the merits of the 2? You must have had a reason for getting K1000 when you had Open book, guess you will remember to give an answer in the fullness of time. Ottawa Canada Dear Dorothy: If you had both Kurzweil 1000 and Open Book 8 available, you could try having the file recognized by both and see which did the better job. In general, K-1000 and Open Book give comparable results if you scan a large volume of printed or typewritten material of varying quality. So either can be used. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
