not strictly jaws related this one but accessibility of the software is. With many mp3 players you just put the player into the USB port and it is seen as another disk drive, no problem. but I do not know of any way of accessing I-Tunes that comes with the IPod Shuffle unless you are prepared to pay £30 extra for Brian Hartgen's scripts. I know he has to make money and I do not criticise him for charging for them. Never the less, I don't like the idea of having to buy a screenreader and then still having to pay more than everyone else just to access an mp3 player. I am not sure if you do absolutely need to use I-tunes or whether there is a free alternative. Cheers Graham. Returned one last week because it proved not very accessible. I have ordered an Apple Shuffle iPod Shuffle from Amazon. It is rather like those little memory sticks and works the same way. However, it is only 512 mb in memory size and holds around 120 songs. Perhaps they will make ones with larger memories in the future. It will do me however if it is accessible. I ordered it because unlike most others, it does not have a screen and apparently can be used without even looking at the thing. It is a fairly basic one I think, play, pause, stop, forward and back and can be set to play tracks in order or randomly by the slide of a switch, hence the name "Shuffle." There is no radio or any of the fancy bits you get with other players, but I think if you just want accessible music on the go it sounds perfect. Has been dispatched by Amazon today and should arrive in the next couple of days, so I will post a message on here and let Members know how I get on.
