Should be OK, make sure that its somehow fixed to the wall. about 2m x 1m x
2m i recon in size.. each world tile will be 1m x 1m x 0.5m so it should fit
within that sort of framework. particle effects would be cool, dont actually
create any tho because they cant be imported into blender. we can create the
particle effects you want in blender.

No problem, will try to make it for you tomorrow morning unless arien wants
to beat me to it. i would describe the room as modest in size, probably 12m
x 15m, a single doorway, a trapdoor or staircase leading down, some work
benches, flotsam and jetsum. a window or two.(and that is really off the top
of my head.)
Any arrangement would do since it's going to be made out of segments we can
be flexible.
