My ISP in Australia gives me a dynamic cable ip and doesnt let me run servers as such on their network. I say as such because they bought out a rule last year that all the mail traffic had to go through them, and provided ways in which it could be achieved through exchange and other mail servers :)........ But i cant really complain, as John said i have a home connection and shouldnt really be running a mail server and stuff off it. But i will :) Greg ________________________________ From: John Tolmachoff (Lists) [mailto:johnlist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, February 10, 2005 12:07 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: port forwarding or port redirection http://www.ISAserver.org If you have residential service, you have no right and should not expect to be able to operate a server on that connection. In fact, you are most likely breaking the service agreement that you have with them.
