Hi all

The strict answer to the question is no and that statement is quite correct. However, you can make the workgroup name of the PC the same as the Domain name and it will act very like a Domain member. You will have to create a local user with the same username and password as a user on the domain too if memory serves correctly. Of course applications that insist on domain mebership won't be so easily fooled.

The lack of being able to apply Group Policy Settings to XP home alone would be enough to deter many companies as they would have very little control over remote desktops.

In essence upgrade to XP Pro if you are a serious business user.

Reagrds,

Paul Lemonidis.
