I'm guessing for the support of legacy win-clients? or legacy
applications that needs netbios support?

WINS is not needed in a pure AD environment. As a matter of
fact, NetBIOS is not needed.
However, I am not familiar with Demand-Dial routing, but I do
not see how that would use WINS.
