Hi Peter,

I have a 6300 joined to the domain and haven't run into that issue. I know that
Network Engines does a lot ot harden the box, so it might be the hardening
process broke something, or perhaps some security settings in the domain GPO?
Or maybe something else entirely different. I salute you for joining the
firewall to the domain, but I think you're going to need to get Network engines
support to cipher this one out.

Tom

Subject: [isalist] Trouble joining Domain

http://www.ISAserver.org

Good Afternoon,
I'm new to this list and new to ISA having just purchased two Network
Engines NS6300 appliances. I've been working my way through Configuring ISA
2004. I'm having a problem that may be specific to to the NE product but
I'll ask here.
I can't get the server to join the domain. The error is "Failed to join the
domain. Unable to update the password. The value provided as the current
password is incorrect." I had previously been getting domain not accessible
errors that were resolved after I created the proper routes to the internal
network.
Additional info. I can do an nslookup of the domain name and return the
proper internal IP address. Ping domain name resolves the DC address and
works.
I believe I understand the pro's and con's of having the ISA server a
domain member and the pro's for me outweigh the con's.
 Thanks
Peter Hotchkiss
