Clever. But I doubt that was their intention, and if it was, using an ice pick against a firewall is still silly ;) From: isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ball, Dan Sent: Friday, January 15, 2010 12:18 PM To: 'isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [isalist] Re: TMG Book goes to the printers! Nope... didn't interpret it either way presented, which are other, valid potential interpretations, and good examples of why the icepick is a poor choice. I interpret the image of the icepick as a tool used to establish handholds in an otherwise unscalable wall of ice, eventually allowing one to overcome the icy obstable; you get access to areas you otherwise wouldn't be able to access without the tool. Given that this is a firewall, it struck me as odd to present an image of a tool used to punch holes in wall facings which facilitate the ability to ultimately get past them. Or the "this is what we think you should use to solve your Internet security issues?" approach? I guess the upshot is that when management asks for a description of what TMG is and what it can do for a company, they can just give them an ice pick and that "this."
