Welp...to add my info.

250 web users. ISA Enterprise on Win2k Server ~Dell 2450 Dual 1000/2GB
ram~

Server directly connected to internet via T1. Users have Lan 100M/wan
512k access to ISA as proxy.

Web access was perfect and brisk prior to installing Surfcontrol. Now
there is a 30 to 45second delay in browsing ANY website. During the
delay..the progress bar goes nearly all the way across the screen...then
the page pops up and beings to load quickly.

I don't believe it's the HTTP traffic that's slow...I fear its
SurfControls searching for what category the website is in that's the
problem.

Hmmm?
I have been thinking of using superscout myself.

You say that it slows down the speed at which your users get access to
the Internet via your LAN.

What is the setup of your LAN (how many servers, what kind (W2K Server,
Advanced, SBS 2000, or Back Office 2000 Server?)
What is the Spec of the server which is running ISA Server (CPU(s), RAM,

Hard Disks (how many))?
