Hi yes I agree but two routers in each domain has a host ID that belongs to the same network ID. Such as IP.Add.RR.253 for the router and IP.Add.RR.30 for ISA, well for this domain the LAT is 192.168.64.0 - 192.168.64.255 I might be off track here but the POP email server access for my Web Proxy clients has me stumped... Thanks, any help would be appreciated ***************************************** Sundance Development & Technologies "Computer Systems Management" Peter Forster M.C.S.E. Normally, one includes network address ranges in the LAT and internal domain name, not specific router addresses. I was unaware that the firewall client was required for the client to access external POP servers. -- J Burford Fields of JB Fields & Associates, LLC jbfields@xxxxxxx www.jbfields3.com "So, everything in the world is a metaphor for something else?"--El Postino -----Original Message----- From: Peter Forster [mailto:PForster@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, December 05, 2002 7:04 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: Routers in LAT table?? Hi I am trying to figure out why a previous FW client that has the software uninstalled would still allow POP mail access to an outside server. Can anyone tell me if it is a best practise to keep routers out of the LAT entries? thanks, Peter
