Hi Joseph, When you say it doesn't see the remote domain "*.hotmail.com", are you saying that you created a remote domain for hotmail, or did you just create a rule to block hotmail? If so, the entry would be for "hotmail.com", not *.hotmail.com Thanks! I've noticed that the smtp filtering rules still pass information into the STMP relay servers. I've tested this out and blocked all *.hotmail.com and that still gets through. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;818034 I'm running w2k with ISA 2000. I've not yet ran ISA 2004 to see if this is still an issue. What this basically has done is create lots of badmail, dropped mail and queed mail, since it dosen't see the remote *.domain.com. I guess that is a good thing but it does take a hit on the STMP virtual server. Then the systemlog gets filled pretty darn fast. So, I created a special script that stops, saves, clears and then starts the systemlog backup again on the STMP relay machine. That's how you do it. For example, you can install an incoming SMTP relay on the ISA firewall, and using a single IP address, publish as many domains as you like. I've set this up in many places, even when they had many separate and distinct SMTP servers on the internal networks.
