Could be an ISA thing (most likely with Class Not Found errors), could be an
IE thing.

1) Make sure basic authentication is enabled on the ISA. If the applet
developer is smart enough to use a proxy then it will be use basic
authentication.

2) The applet could be trying to connect to a remote host directly and your
ISA is blocking it. Look in your logs to see where it is that the
connection is failing. You might need to create firewall rules to let the
traffic through.

3) The applets might require something other than the MSVM in which case I'd
suggest downloading the Sun Java Plugin from www.javasoft.com. Do this
anyway because MS will stop all support of Java after the first of the year.

4) If the applet will run with the MSVM then IE simply might not be letting
the applets load due to its security configuration. This can be the case
especially for unsigned applets. Under Tools | Internet Options | Security
tab | Internet Zone set Java Permissions to Custom then try setting Run
Signed Content to Prompt or Enable and Run Unsigned Content to Run in
sandbox. If that doesn't work set Additional Unsigned Permissions to enable
one at a time to see what is preventing the applet from loading.

Hi there,

I have a little problem in my ISA Server.
Actually the problem is with JAVA. That is having problem.
There are many firewall clients having different OS like XP, WIN2K and even
win2k3 clinets. But the probelm on each clinent is that java applets are
not loaded on that clients. It doesn't happen all the time. Sometime it
works well but some time the same applet is not working and GREY screen is
appeared and taskbar shows a message like "Class not found".

I would be very thankful if you let me know why is it happening or how could

I get rid out of this problem.

Thanks.

Tariq.
