Make sure that you don't have IIS listening on port 80.

Web Proxy service failed to bind its socket to IP ADDRESS port 80. this
could be caused by another service that is already using the same port
or by
a network interface card that is not functional

        The other is
Event ID 14193 source MS Web Proxy
Cache was initialized with less memory cache than configured. This is
because there is not enough free memory available for the ISA server
        caching.

Server has 4 gig of RAM and the cache on the D: drive is set to 25 gig
of
hard drive. I have looked in the help for both of the error coeds and
there
        is nothing for either one.

        Thanks

        Hi Jack,

If you could post the specific errors that your receiving that would be
        most helpful.
I've seen this same message posted on the list before but, just don't
        have the right \
Link for you at this time.

        Thank you,

I have installed ISA server in cache mode on our server. The server is
Win 2k SP2 installed. The problem seems that the Proxy service will just
stop running. We get the message that it has done something in so many
times that it just shuts down the service. We also get an error at the
same time about the IP address being unable to bind the NIC to the IP at
port 80. this will happen if no one is using the server as well as if we
just have our dept on, about 8 people, as a test before we put it back
into production. Is there a conflict with SP2 installed for Win 2K? or
is there something that we are missing when it gets setup initially. We
did have it working for about 4 months then all of a sudden it stopped
working and a reinstall of the ISA software did fix it for a short
period of time but we finally had to start from scratch. Now we are
getting all of these errors and the service stops.

        TIA
