There is a great isa install procedure on the isaserver.org web site. I have small business server with two nics.... its my opinion if you can browse the web at the sbs server you may not have it set up correctly. All workstations on the network should have internet access through secure nat all you need in the default gateway pointing at the sbs server. I have found that using the wizards is not always the best choice at least for me. To get internet access on the sbs server I had to make in a web proxy client. Here are a couple of things you could check ping the sbs NetBIOS computer name from the sbs server........ the ip response should be the internal nics address. if not you need to change the connection order in the advance settings in the network properties. DNS setup is crucial Good luck SBS is a lot of fun Jim -----Original Message----- From: David Liles [mailto:dave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, August 26, 2003 8:27 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: RE: [isalist] RE: Internet Access behind SBS That we have not done.... we saw it on the list when configuring client computers but did not know where the firewall client was located..... it was prompting us for a location to install it from..... -----Original Message----- From: Amy Babinchak [mailto:Amy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tue 8/26/2003 10:25 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Cc: Subject: [isalist] RE: Internet Access behind SBS http://www.ISAserver.org David, Have you installed the firewall client on the workstations? We followed the default wizards when setting up the server but for some reason we are not able to gain access to the internet from our private network. We are able to send and receive email with out a problem.... and from the SBS server we are able to access the internet. We've looked at the IP filters within ISA and there appears to be the appropriate filters allowing HTTP out and in access there is a policy allowing all outbound access..... Any suggestions?
