I've had an issue with some of the Intel Pro1000 NICs not resetting
properly when rebooting. I've always solved it be doing a hard reboot.

Whoops. Never mind. This isn't an arp issue.

Are you using a 2000 or 2004 ISA firewall?

Hi William,

Did you wait until the arp table entries timed out?

Hello,

I have a problem in which ISA does not handle a switch reboot correctly.
The
ISA server's external network adapter is connected to an HP2848 Procurve
switch. The switch required a re-boot and after the re-boot I received
the
following error message in the ISA Server's event log. After the re-boot
the
ISA server would not serve any of its published web sites.

At the time I simply re-booted the server which cleared the problem. The
ISA
server is a Dell 1650 with Intel Pro1000XT network adapters.

Does anyone know how can I avoid this happening?

Thanks

Bill
