It looks like that is what Ahmad was meaning first off.

Just he was using a Hub Between the ADSL Modem, and the second ethernet
card. (A cross Over Cable here would remove the need for a hub).

And the First NIC was going to a separate Switch.

Cheers Ants

  Ahmad,

Unless your ADSL modem is also a router running NAT then I
would advise (others correct me if I'm wrong), you should have your ADSL
modem going to you're 1st nic then your second nic going to your hub/switch,
if you plug your modem/router strait into the hub/switch then other machines
on the net can bypass your ISA server.

  Thanks.. Paul

  http://www.ISAserver.org

  Hi all,

I uninstall ISA and did another setup:

The first Ethernet card (192.168.1.2) to my LAN switch.

The second Ethernet card (192.168.1.4) to a hub.

ADSL modem (192.168.1.254) to a hub.

The second Ethernet card has the gateway as the ADSL IP (192.168.1.254)
and the ISP DNS.

Now I can have internet link fine, is that setup good before I install the
ISA again? and what the disadvantage of it, thanks in advanced.

  Ahmad Jamal

"I have Infinilink i510 ADSL modem, was connection to my Cisco LAN switch
and giving the internal IP as 192.168.1.254. All my workstations use the
ASDL IP as the gateway, ISP DNS and everyone sharing the internet.

I install ISA on WIN2K, with 2 Ethernet cards, one giving local IP
192.168.1.2 connect to my LAN, the second as dynamic (DHCP) and connected
to the ADSL.

   I start with
http://www.isaserver.org/pages/tutorials/setting_up_machine_before_isa_insta
lltion.htm

  And http://www.isaserver.org/pages/tutorials/adsl_setup.htm

I have DC as 192.168.1.1, The ISA can not see the ADSL, no matters what I
tried, thanks in advanced."
