Hi Paul,

This ADSL Modem "Infinilink i510 External Ethernet ADSL Bridge/Rout".

The First NIC is connecting to my LAN switch "Cisco catalyst 2924XL" and
giving the IP 192.168.1.2, all my servers and workstations connection to
the switch, having domain server as 192.168.1.1.

The Second NIC is connecting to another hub "Intel inBusiness 8-ports
fast hub plus", and giving the IP 192.168.1.4, and the gateway as the
ADSL IP 192.168.1.254, the ISP DNS.

The ADSL is connection the Intel Hub. Reasons for doing this, because
the direct connect with ADSL with the second NIC did not work out; the
ISA did not find the DSL at all, so I did this setup.

My best.

Ahmad

Ahmad,

Unless your ADSL modem is also a router running NAT then I
would advise (others correct me if I'm wrong), you should have your ADSL
modem going to you're 1st nic then your second nic going to your
hub/switch, if you plug your modem/router strait into the hub/switch
then other machines on the net can bypass your ISA server.

Thanks.. Paul

Hi all,

I uninstall ISA and did another setup:

The first Ethernet card (192.168.1.2) to my LAN switch.

The second Ethernet card (192.168.1.4) to a hub.

ADSL modem (192.168.1.254) to a hub.

The second Ethernet card has the gateway as the ADSL IP (192.168.1.254)
and the ISP DNS.

Now I can have internet link fine, is that setup good before I install
the ISA again? and what the disadvantage of it, thanks in advanced.

"I have Infinilink i510 ADSL modem, was connection to my Cisco LAN
switch and giving the internal IP as 192.168.1.254. All my workstations
use the ASDL IP as the gateway, ISP DNS and everyone sharing the
internet.

I install ISA on WIN2K, with 2 Ethernet cards, one giving local IP
192.168.1.2 connect to my LAN, the second as dynamic (DHCP) and
connected to the ADSL.

 I start with
http://www.isaserver.org/pages/tutorials/setting_up_machine_before_isa_i
nstalltion.htm

And http://www.isaserver.org/pages/tutorials/adsl_setup.htm

I have DC as 192.168.1.1, The ISA can not see the ADSL, no matters what
I tried, thanks in advanced."
