Below , folks, are the corrected instructions to yesterday's tip.
thanks again, Eric.

    Hey Gang!
Today's piece of info comes straight out of what I've been doing for so
many years--creating folders in order to organize my massive file collection.
Here's how I do it.

    1. Open the My documents folder. this is the main folder on XP systems.
it's a catch-all for applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook,
etc. Other applications use this folder as well, such as the Amazon MP3
downloader. the scary thing is there are folders within this main folder.
they really are there for your convenience, though.
    2. Press Alt-F to open the File menu.
    3. use your Down Arrow until you hear New submenu and press Enter.
    4. You are in an edit field. type in the name of your folder and press
Enter. Done!
you are now free to copy, move, rename, and paste to your heart's content.
    5. The fastest way to locate your new folder is to type the first letter
of the folder name. Once there, press Enter to open it.
