Hey Eric,

I'm sending you a message on this list, because I see you stay up-to-date with
it. I've sent you a few e-mails off list that you have not responded to. When
you get a chance, please check them out. There's a friend from the past that's
trying to get back in touch with you.

Sharon

  Hi Lynne,

Not to be a pain and not Pane.

But you forgot one more little thing.

After entering on the new submenu, you also have to press enter on the folder
option and then you're in a edit field.

Again, not trying to be a Thorne in your side but just trying to help.

However, I think that if people are sharp enough they'll see that there's an
option for folder and they should enter on it.

  Thanks Lynne,

  Eric

Below , folks, are the corrected instructions to yesterday's tip.
    thanks again, Eric.

        Hey Gang!
Today's piece of info comes straight out of what I've been doing for so
many years--creating folders in order to organize my massive file collection.
Here's how I do it.

        1. Open the My documents folder. this is the main folder on XP
systems. it's a catch-all for applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel,
Outlook, etc. Other applications use this folder as well, such as the Amazon
MP3 downloader. the scary thing is there are folders within this main folder.
they really are there for your convenience, though.
        2. Press Alt-F to open the File menu.
        3. use your Down Arrow until you hear New submenu and press Enter.
        4. You are in an edit field. type in the name of your folder and
press Enter. Done!
you are now free to copy, move, rename, and paste to your heart's
content.
        5. The fastest way to locate your new folder is to type the first
letter of the folder name. Once there, press Enter to open it.

        Lynne
