fwiw, I am quite pedantic about list policies etc - but I've found
that
most people react better to offlist notices than onlist bashing.
what I have noticed is that most people look at the reminder, see that
it has nothing to do with the question they have asked and ignore it. A
few people actually read and try to understand and implement - a lot of
those people contact me offlist for clarification.
