Bus Mice have a 'single-open' limitation which prevents you from using
both GPM and the X Window System at the same time. To over come this you
have to setup gpm as a repeater. My PS2 mouse has the same problem that
you have mentioned and this is what is in my gpm.conf:


I have an USB Mouse and it works just fine without extra config on a
RedHat box. 

OTOH, the touch pad on my laptop refuses to work. I have no clues
whatsoever to get it to work. Can somebody help ?
