Bus Mice have a 'single-open' limitation which prevents you from using
both GPM and the X Window System at the same time. To over come this you
have to setup gpm as a repeater. My PS2 mouse has the same problem that
you have mentioned and this is what is in my gpm.conf:
duh? maybe, only some ps/2 mice have this issue? or maybe, with some
graphics cards? my compaq machine has a compaq ps/2 mouse (which says
logitech on the back) and i dont even have a gpm.conf. i am living happily
with both gpm and X. my /dev/mouse points to /dev/psaux and /dev/psaux is
what is used in X too.
