I've a P4 machine with a ASUS V6600 (Nvidia 256/32MB) graphics card on a
triple boot Win98/Win2000/ Linux and a Logitech PS/2 wheel mouse. I go
over to Linux from DOS using loadlin. I've loaded RH7.3.
My graphics card is detected correctly and am able to set all the
resolutions, colour depth etc. In the graphics mode, I'm not able to see
my cursor pointer! Mouse movement is tracked as Buttons pop up on
mouseover and get selected. Gpm is running and XF86Config-4 - the
startup X config file used has PS/2 protocol and mouse as corepointer
too.
Any pointers (pardon the pun) -:).
In some cases, I've problems in X running if Linux is started thro'
loadlin - maybe loadlin is not able to offload all payload from memory.
This happened on a Savage S3 card machine. Startx would report a X
server crash. However fresh boot from Linux would go thro' perfectly.
