Yesterday I was trying to download debian 3.1r2 DVD iso image from
cdimage.debian.org using wget, but unfortunately I was able to get
only 307MB of the image and the wget log showed me 100% completed. I
have a 2Mbps shared connection in the college. I ll get an average of
about 800Kbps during night time. I ve downloaded the 14 cd iso images
of r0, r1 etc of the debian, fc3,4,5 previously but everything was
going fine. But instead of getting a 4.7GB huge file I got only a
307Mb file. What could be the reason? Below I ve given a part on my
wget-log. I would like to know whether we cannot download such huge
files using wget? If not how to download using some other tool other
than jigdo or bittorrent. I heard we can put an rsync, but will it
work for http site? Also in one of the mirror site I found that it is
impossible to download such huge files using ftp, Is it true?
