can the sysinit scripts be shared? why not , if it cant be shared, can
u pls tell me why, most of the scripts for sysinit are placed in /etc
so will sharing it be a problem? ( surely it wil be a problem) but i
went through the sysinit scripts, most of the references were to
standard binary files, but i'd like to share /etc and change it , will
it be a simple or complex task?

that / partition hosts the directories /etc, /lib, /sbin directories].
Sharing the same users and groups could mean sharing a common /etc
directory... which in my opinion can raise other complicated issues
[imagine having to manage a common sysinit scripts for both your distros!].
