you actually dont need to do that .. you can boot into your linux root 
partition from a cd if your master boot record gets overwritten after 
windows got installed

and for this guy - he's already got a working dual boot box and wants to 
boot into linux by default instead of windows

for that - edit /etc/lilo.conf (or /etc/grub.conf) and check the default 
boot there.

in lilo you'd just modify default=linux to default=winxp (assuming the 
two entries are labeled linux and winxp), then run lilo (/sbin/lilo -v)

in grub - the OS's to be booted are listed in order - 0,1,2,3 etc (0 is 
the first one is 0 and then on. Change the default=0 (or whatever) in 
there to the appropriate number for the windows partition. Once the 
grub.conf is modified you dont need to run anything, unlike in lilo

Dear sir,
 
i am using  Dual boot Windows / RH Linux 9.0 in my machine.
 
 By default during boot it is booting thru linux. I want it to be 
changed to Windows. Please give ur suggestion regarding this.
