I don't know much about the server hardware requirements. But IMO, you
can have the Desktops in this configuration:
CPU+Board: Intel Atom Desktop Kit - Rs. 3400
RAM - Hynix LapTop RAM 1 GB - Rs. 475
No Hard-Disk
Some Case ~ Rs.1000
We had a similar issue in my school, and we had to dispose of around
15 thin-clients. Now, we're using the above configuration (but with
HDDs). You can use PXE and reduce your cost.
