Since no one has taken up the translation task, I volunteer to

3. Shakthi, I know how much you want Open Source to spread into the
schools and colleges of Tamil Nadu. You have more experience dealing
with students than many of us.
In our company, I work with CS graduates from small towns, whose
biggest barrier to becoming a good software engineer is language. They
are no less in problem solving or analytical skills, but English
comprehension is a barrier. Should we not give students like that the
exposure?
My point is, since the focus is on local participation, let us have
Tamil banners, promotion material also. Come to think of it, with
volunteers for other languages joining in, we can have banners etc in
Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi also. Number of Telegu speaking students
is significant in Chennai.
4. Amachu, in my opinion having a Tamil sub-conference will be
counter-productive. Communicate the message to the students in Tamil
and have them take part in the main conference.
