Good. Before implementing the solution, you should also think about
the following points.

3. How often do you need full backups and how often do you need
incremental backups?
Interesting points. I would like to add that rsnapshot and rdiff-backup
(pretty easy to find on google) are excellent candidates for continuous
incremental snapshot backups. Storing the last 14 days of daily
snapshots is easy peacy and requires surprisingly little disk space
(ofcourse, it also depends on how active your file systems are).
We use rdiff-backup to snapshot ~3TB of data and it works great.
rdiff-backup is highly recommended.
Both systems work only on HDDs and not on tapes.
