Chris, I always try to have the board outline defined as a closed polygon or shape. Both types of objects can be Z-copied to other layers. This is especially useful when the board outline is very irregular, and I need to define a route keep-in boundary that follows the shape, contracted by 50 or 100 thou. I seek the wisdom of the group: Does anyone have their board outlines as unfilled shapes (with possible voids), as opposed to a giant LINE object ( and possible internal LINE objects)? I would think there'd be numerous advantages of having the outline as a shape , mainly the impossibility of creating a non-closed or discontinuous LINE. What say ye?
