Boy, I can really sympathize with your plight. Hopefully, they will have
some trick to completely reset everything back to normal... since you
certainly didn't do anything to cause the problem. The coincidence of it
happening during or after the transfer is strange. If the keys work anything
like a regular computer keyboard... certain of them are handled by certain
parts of the keyboard ASIC. It used to be in very olden days that if you
plugged in a chip and one of the legs on the chip got bent up and didn't
really seat in the socket well... similar symptoms as you are experiencing
would happen. Only certain keys would work... or the whole set with the
control key wouldn't work... or just the odd numbered numbers, etc.

I hate to say this is hardware related, but I don't see how it could be
anything else.

Sounds stupid, but you should manually exercise every single key on the unit
a few times... just to make sure nothing is stuck in the down position.
Also, jiggle the key lock switch on the bottom of the unit... although, of
course, this would certainly turn all keys on and off and I doubt it being
partially closed or open would cause what is happening to you... but just
run through every one of the keys individually.

And finally, sorry not to have anything else of use... but try plugging in
an external USB keyboard to the dongle and see if the affected keys on it
work or not. This might disclose something... but, still I wouldn't know
where to go from there.

Good luck,

John

Hello John,
I do not have a docking station. My battery status is fine. Until I can
get
hold of APH, I'm stuck. Oh yeah, the number seven key does not work
either.
