chase, these messages are really old and have been dealt with. please assume
that, even if you're just looking at it for the first time, if the message is
more than a couple of days old, (check the date) it has probably been answered.

A reset is the same thing as a reflash. To reflash, do the following,
assuming you have an Icon, like you stated below.
I am sorry if this has been answered, gmail has filtered out lots of stuff
from my lists as Spam.
  1. Turn off your Icon.
  2. Take off the battery cover.
  3. hold the pound key for a few seconds.
  4. Next, press the reset button, and keep it held down for five seconds.
  5. Let go of the reset button, but keep the pound key held down.
  6. Keep the pound key held down for about 10 seconds, or until a second
after you feel the second vibration. The manual says you can release it right
at the vibration, but I keep it held down a little bit longer, just to be safe.
  7. After the third vibration, press the down arrow twice quickly to avoid
system lockup, making another reflash mandatory.
  8. Put the battery cover back on.
  9. Once your unit starts up, restore a backup, if you have one. Restoring a
backup does not restore the problem.
  10. Turn on your wireless, and put in the key for your router, if necessary.
  11. Run "Check for software updates" (option 6 in the utilities menu which
is option 6).
  12. Once the update finishes, everything should be fine.
Is there any chance that that that annoying lockup problem while reflashing
will be fixed in 1.1?

How do you perform a hard reset of the Icon? Also, does a hard reset reflash
the unit? For some reason the browser has crashed or gotten corrupted, and I
think I need to reflash the unit.

  Thanks.
