Yes, the Icon and Braille+ are running the same software, and have the same
hardware.  The only difference is the Braille Keyboard, and the Braille+ is
rectangle, but the Icon is narrower at the bottom and the edges are more
rounded.  That is the only difference.

the icon was released in December of 2006, and the Braille+ was released
