Hi Arpad,

If I understand the question, it's "What's the reference point for placing the 
eye mask template?" ? [that mask can be Tx or Rx sides, depending on the 
standard chosen]

My view is:
There is no absolute reference given the nature of the links.
The common practice is to centre the mask inside the output eye, but this is 
completely tester determined [we're talking compliance testing here]. Given 
that the horizontal and vertical edge points are defined, the absolute timing 
reference doesn't matter - that's the whole point of the link....timing/data 
extraction.

Sorry for my poor problem statement...

I mean the output of Rx (as it comes back from
Rx GetWave), used together with the clock ticks
from Rx GetWave to formulate the eye.
