My linear review of the IBIS 7.0 draft is finally completed. The three
commented documents are:
https://ibis.org/editorial_wip/ver7_0_181107_mlabonte_review.docx (146
comments, up to page 109)
https://ibis.org/editorial_wip/ver7_0_181109_mlabonte_review.docx (18
comments)
https://ibis.org/editorial_wip/ver7_0_181116_mlabonte_review.docx (148
comments, page 189 on)
The numbers seem large, but other than in the first one, I think most of
the comments are straightforward. A few that should be discussed:
1. The issue about List_Tip on page 217, which we could simply record
as a known issue.
2. Lowercase "reserved parameter" appears 12 times. Should this be
changed to match the 152 "Reserved Parameter"? I think so.
3. Should the notes under tables each end with a period? Most do not,
some do. I think they should. They tend to be at least 80% complete
sentences.
The actual edits should go quickly, writing the comments probably took
longer. If necessary, I could delete many of the debatable comments in
the first document, leaving only typo/format comments. Or I could do the
edits to produce an official draft.
