[ian-reeds-games] sound effects help

Hi guys,
I can do a little with goldwave, but not as much as some others, so I was
hoping to ask for some help.
I found some good trek effects, but I am constnatly finding them with music and
things of that nature in the background. I tried useing the filter effect, but
then it sounds strange with some weird noises in it.
Is there a way to get the sound, but cut out the other sounds int he sound file?
