Yes im beggining to think next May next year Now  too, for the reasons all 
ready mentioned .
But if that’s the case we must do something on the internet this May for the 
listeners  .

Here are a few of my thoughts about the SRSL and internet broadcast.

To have some sort of guarantee for our FM broadcast I would suggest May
next year for the FM broadcast. I don’t think we want to go through the
uncertainty again and then ultimately give people bad news if we set the
date now.

I concur, I think there is too much uncertainty around to assume that
we'll be definitely able to do it this year.

To give more time to get the internet solution to work, why don’t we
look to internet broadcast for 1 week (or 9 days Saturday to following
Sunday night like Carnival FM) at the end of May (around Whitsun bank
holiday), plus 1 week (or again 9 days Saturday to following Sunday night
like Carnival FM) for Hastings week in October. A whole 28 days will be
difficult to sustain on a system that we may not be familiar with and DJs
may not be willing to attempt without a a lot of practice.

Personally I'd be inclined to see what the interest is from the DJs before
deciding on broadcast dates. If only two people are interested it's pretty
much game over however if lots of them are on board, then I'd push for the
whole month, sustained by a mixture of automation/requests/pre-recorded
shows. Those are the two extremes, we may end up with somewhere in the
middle but until those feelers are put out, let's wait and see.


In the meantime, just a reminder that from today our music licence is now
valid until the end of the year, so as long as we provide listener figures
and tracks played as a quarterly report, we can now legally play music and
do it when we choose. Jon, I will need this for July 1st for the first 3
months.

Right now I've not bought any Internet streaming capabilities as I'm
holding off till we decide what we want to do.
