Here are a few of my thoughts about the SRSL and internet broadcast.I concur, I think there is too much uncertainty around to assume that
To have some sort of guarantee for our FM broadcast I would suggest May
next year for the FM broadcast. I donât think we want to go through the
uncertainty again and then ultimately give people bad news if we set the
date now.
To give more time to get the internet solution to work, why donât wePersonally I'd be inclined to see what the interest is from the DJs before
look to internet broadcast for 1 week (or 9 days Saturday to following
Sunday night like Carnival FM) at the end of May (around Whitsun bank
holiday), plus 1 week (or again 9 days Saturday to following Sunday night
like Carnival FM) for Hastings week in October. A whole 28 days will be
difficult to sustain on a system that we may not be familiar with and DJs
may not be willing to attempt without a a lot of practice.
In the meantime, just a reminder that from today our music licence is nowRight now I've not bought any Internet streaming capabilities as I'm
valid until the end of the year, so as long as we provide listener figures
and tracks played as a quarterly report, we can now legally play music and
do it when we choose. Jon, I will need this for July 1st for the first 3
months.
