Hi Ralph,
So this is a different problem and is only cropping up (unless someone
tells me differently with one particular new track - called 'Sometimes
by CORELEONI'. I get the same behaviour here so thanks for sending the
info and the video.
The file in question is an MP4 (so not your usual MP3), it's also
what's referred to as "Variable Bit Rate VBR" - these historically have
been known to be troublesome everywhere.... For some reason, the MP4
decoder I use thinks that there are no audio samples in the file -
that's why you get the behaviour you see - it basically thinks it's
finished playing the track pretty much immediately.
This may be the first MP4 VBR I've encountered so it's distinctly
possible the software to handle them has never been used before. I'll
need to investigate further with ones I know do work.

Hi Jon. This happened this afternoon. I’m not sure if it’s the same
that Nick has been on about or not. So. I clicked on the load button
and the next track came up automatically as it always does. Then
pressed play to put it in the top of the player, as you do. It never
reached the top player. It vanished. When I went to load again it was
sitting there but showed up as played. I tried it again. It went
through the correct motions until I tried to put it in the top
player. As per the video. It was a track marked Blue so a New Music
track. About 5:16/17 pm.
