Hi Monica,
The thieves have been able to get a vehicle into the complex. We are
not sure if it is through tailgating or if they happen to have a lost
access card in their possession.
We are disabling one access card that was used at the gate about 6
minutes before we caught the thief on camera. The card was enabled in
the call box system, but it did not have the last name of the owner
associated with it. Theoretically, we should not have any active cards
in the call box that are not paired with an owner.
Next week, Clara will provide us with a list of access cards and remotes
that are not associated with an owner. We will share this list with
unit owners, who can then check to see if any of their cards are on the
list. We may combine this activity with mailbox key distribution. Any
unmatched access cards will then be disabled shortly before mail
delivery resumes to the new mailboxes. Card owners will still have a
chance to get their card re-enabled through the end of the year, in the
event that they miss the deadline.
Most active cards are associated with an owner's last name, so we
believe that the list of unmatched cards should not be too overwhelming.
Thanks,
Alex

Do we have any idea how the mail thief or (thieves) are getting access onto
our property? Should we change the walk-in gate code?
