If this was not a legitimate officer, then it may be someone trying to find out
if we have cameras. Folks with intention of breaking-in avoid places with a
camera.

Hey everyone
We live in 508 (the unit closet to the bridge). We were just outside and
someone claiming to be a detective came to the gate and said he was
investigating a recent break in and asking if we had cameras. I wasn’t out
there but my fiancé was and said he had a badge and a gun on his hip. I think
this is weird because if there was a break in in the community everyone is
usually good about communicating about incidents like this. Obviously anyone
can have a gun and as bags is pretty easy to fake. Was there an incident in
the community like this and was anyone else contacted my law enforcement?
