Vick,
You are obviously not a registered Hasselblad user on the Hasselblad site,
if you were you would have received the same notice I did in November about
the Hasselblad demo sale where CFV 39Mp backs were going for just over $11k
with full warranty from Hasselblad. If you keep your eyes open you can find
a used 22Mp back around the $3k mark.

I think the phenomena is due to lack of collectors.
Users aren't paying the big bucks for Hasselblad.
There are a lot of new gizmos to spend the big bucks on, which arguably
don't provide the same "value" as the wonderful old Hasselblad lenses.
And the Hasselblad digital back, is still out of reach for most. I saw a
$15K digital back available in the local photo store, and the sales guy
said, "Well, they aren't flying off the shelves". Yet, he has recently
sold two Leica M9's at $7K each.
