Subject: [haiku] The state of Haiku
Hello all,
I asked earlier last year about the state of IMAP support in Haiku and ad far
as I can remember, it still wasn't working then.
Late night I tried to visit Bebits and Haikuware thinking I should give Haiku
yet another by try finding a better email client but both sites are both gone.
This is not good. A new collection needs to be put online and I'm willing to
host it for free.
I started to read in the forums on the Haiku website and tried to get some
sort of grup on where Haiku stands today, where to find software and so on but
I found very little information. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right place.
I guess my question is this: what is the state of Haiku?
Also, I have a request: there needs to be a updated install ISO uploaded to
the Haiku website. I am not knowledgeable enough to build and install a
nightly build and installing code from almost three years ago is not an option.
I do recognise the incredible hard work all the developers put into this
project, don't get me wrong, but having a alpha version from 2012 still online
does not attract new users and I fest time is running out fast for Haiku to
make any kind of >difference.
Thanks,
Joacim
