Yes, I have a suggestion.

Before doing a gigantic commit such as this, get with Michael and have 
the CVS auto mailer temporarily turned off.

It took 40 minutes to download my mail this morning, which consisted of 
133 CVS messages (#559 - #692). That's over 11 MB of mail that I have 
no intention of looking at. And that was digest mode.
