But more importantly, they have a purpose: they are meant to protect our brand/image by avoiding the misrepresentation of what Haiku is in the eyes of the community and (MORE IMPORTANTLY) the public (that is, those who are not familiar about the project). If we are going to take the guidelines this lightly, then you might as well not have them. I followed the guidelines to the dot; the inconsistency was in the admin's response, which was in contradiction of what the guidelines stated and implied.
