Yes, it would be cool if there would be an easy way to adjust those three things in 'AboutSystem' (and write some instructions on Haiku's site): 1) the green 'Haiku' 2) the copyright info 3) the weblink... While we're on the topic, the bootscreen logo also requires adjusting the source code... so #4.. hehe. Those are four things that would definitely distance Haiku from distros.
