BeShare works flawlessly in Haiku, and it's a great way to centralize
communication and speed up development- you can share files, links etc..

Could we include BeShare in the Optional Packages? And just to make it even more newBe friendly, have it automatically connect to the default server
(currently beshare.TyComSystems.com ) at startup?

Also list it under the Community page..

I've updated https://www.haiku-os.org/community , with the information
from ReadMe.IntroductionToHaiku --

It looks like there's an updated build of BeShare at OsDrawer, but the
Haikuware page doesn't link to it.
http://dev.osdrawer.net/projects/beshare

I would also suggest everybody have BeShare load at startup to get the community started. (drop it or link it in /boot/home/config/boot/launch )

Doesn't XMPP provide same functionality (chat, groupchat, file transfers)? If BeShare is dead (from Jimmy's first email, I assume it pretty much is) then why try resurrect it? Why not replace it with something that supports XMPP? Don't you think this would be beneficial?
