Given the recent slander and plain old ridiculousness occurring on our bugtracker, I've decided to create : http://dev.haiku-os.org/wiki/BugTrackerEtiquette This will be listed on the main page, where exactly, i'm not certain. As for content, I'm planning on reproducing most of Bugzilla@Mozilla's guide: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=etiquette.html 1. commenting: 1.No pointless comments. 2. No personal abuse. 3. No obligation. 2. Changing Fields 1. No messing with other people's bugs. I'm really not sure if this should be mentioned on our page. Only developers, admins, ticket-creator, and possibly a few other groups have this ability. 2. No whining about decisions. If a respected project contributor has marked a bug as INVALID, then it is invalid. Someone filing another duplicate of it does not change this. Unless you have further important evidence, do not post a comment arguing that an INVALID or WONTFIX bug should be reopened. Unfortunately, this one is needed. Even more unfortunately, I believe the people who are in most need to observe it simply will not. On a side note, A page like this may be useful to have for R1/a1: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=bug-writing.html Suggestions and comments are always welcomed. --mmadia ----------------------------------------------------------------------- haiku-web@xxxxxxxxxxxxx - Haiku Web & Developer Support Discussion List
