I'm offering myself as a Spanish (from Spain, locale: es_ES) and Galician (locale: es_GA) translator for the Haiku documentation, if you need me justtell me! :DThanks, Oscar! Vincent Duvert is still working on Haiku's documentation/translation website. (How's that going Vince? :) ) It shouldn't take that long anymore until we can use it productively, I hope. It will be announced, probably on the website, but definitely on this list. Here's also the place we should try to coordinate things. I know that "Spanish" is a rather peculiar language. There are apparently a few different "versions"... Vincent: Are we equipped to deal with that? A simple "es" doesn't seem to cut it.
Indeed is peculiar, from the "official" Spanish language there are this variants:
- Spanish from Spain (es_ES) - Spanish from Mexico (es_MX) - Spanish from Argentina (es_AR) And 16 variants more, not including the proper variants from Spain: - Galician from Spain (es_GA) - Catalan from Spain (es_CA) - Basque (I don't know if it has a proper locale)Usually is not necessary to do all the translations, with es_ES is enough.
Thanks for your offer, Oscar, hang in there for just a little while longer. :)
Waiting! :)
